Abstract

Las políticas agroalimentarias en Latinoamérica buscan el autoabastecimiento de granos básicos para mejorar la seguridad alimentaria y disminuir la dependencia del exterior. En México se implementa una política de fomento productivo y acopio de maíz y frijol que incide en el aprovechamiento de cultivos nativos, lo cual, precisa de análisis, ya que, México es el principal centro de origen del maíz y el frijol. Por esto, se realizó un estudio exploratorio con enfoque territorial para identificar las características de la producción de maíz y frijol en dos municipios de Morelos. Los resultados muestran elementos que pueden complementar la política vigente para atender al sector de manera integral considerando la agrobiodiversidad, el entorno y la participación de la base social.
