Imperialismo económico: concepto y restricciones

El artículo busca ofrecer [1] una explicación del concepto de imperialismo económico, centrándose en sus aspectos epistémicos; y [2] criterios para su evaluación normativa. Con respecto a [1], la noción definitoria es la de unificación explicativa a través de las fronteras disciplinarias. En cuanto a [2], se proponen tres tipos de restricciones. Una restricción ontológica requiere un mayor grado de unificación ontológica en contraste con la mera unificación derivativa. Una restricción axiológica deriva de la variación en la importancia relativa percibida de los hechos explicados. Una restricción epistemológica requiere un fuerte falibilismo que reconozca una incertidumbre epistémica particularmente severa y alerte en contra del arrogante exceso de confianza.
