La teoría del gatopardismo: entre revoluciones pasivas y conservadoras

El gatopardismo se refiere a la forma de una acción política que es presentada como “revolucionaria”, pero que en realidad no altera las estructuras de poder del orden social, produciendo así una ilusión de cambio. Pese a su potencial analítico, la adopción de esta perspectiva crítica suele restringirse a un uso retórico que limita su alcance teórico. El aporte de este artículo busca paliar esta deficiencia al dotar la noción de gatopardismo con contenidos de teoría social, otorgándole mayor robustez, precisión y filo analítico. Para ello, el texto pone a debatir la idea de gatopardismo a partir de una comparación original entre tres conceptos sociológicos: la “revolución pasiva” en Gramsci, la “revolución conservadora” en Bourdieu y el “principio de Lampedusa” en Wallerstein.
