Economía política del tiempo para la vida buena en las democracias alienadas de América Latina

Este artículo examina la relación entre expropiación temporal y democracia en América Latina desde una filosofía crítica de la economía política del tiempo. Parte de una premisa: toda economía es una economía del tiempo, y el capitalismo neoliberal convierte ese tiempo en materia prima de la acumulación, produciendo democracias alienadas –formalmente existentes pero sustantivamente vacías. Desde una genealogía del valor y las luchas sociales de la región, se propone un viraje epistémico: del dinero y la productividad al tiempo para la vida buena como fundamento de la democracia sustantiva. La tesis es clara: no es la democracia la que produce libertad– es la libertad temporal la que hace posible la democracia. La evidencia empírica, basada en México mediante la ENCPD 2021, confirma que a mayor tiempo relacional disponible, mayor participación democrática sustantiva. Sin justicia temporal no hay democracia real.
