Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
The articles and essays sent to Andamios, Revista de Investigación Social, must be high quality academic research in the Social Sciences and Humanities.
- The contributions must be original and comply with the editorial rules to be undergone blind peer review.
Submission of a manuscript implies commitment to publish in the Journal. Manuscripts should not be under consideration by any other publishers while being reviewed by Andamios, Revista de Investigación Social or have been published elsewhere in substantially similar form or with substantially similar content.
- The sending of any collaboration to the Journal implies the acceptance of what is established in these editorial rules and the authorization to the Editorial Committee to disseminate the papers in the printed version of Andamios, its website, in reprints, collections and any database or electronic indexing system to achieve greater and better diffusion of the work.
- Articles should conform to the APA style sheet.
- Contributions for the "Dossier" and "Articles" sections must have a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 28 (including notes, graphs, tables, citations and bibliography); and the "Reviews" should not exceed five pages.
- It is recommended that the title does not exceed 70 characters, including spaces.
- Contributions, except for a review, must attach: a) an abstract in English and Spanish that does not exceed 120 words and which highlights the main contributions and conclusions of the article; and b) a list of five key words in Spanish and English that identify the content of the text.
- Reviews should be from current academic books (published at most two previous immediate years) or from new editions of classics that are worth reviewing in light of current problems.
Dossier
Monographic section dedicated to a specific theme in each issue, for which a call is published and corresponding to a certain number.Interview
Interview with renowned specialists on relevant topics in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The interview may to be: a) With a specialist on an issue of interest to the Humanities and Social Sciences; and b) Confrontation of two specialists interviewed jointly (if possible, otherwise one could work with the same questionnaire and interview them independently) on the same subject, which is preferably sought to link it to the dossier.
Articles
Works of theoretical or applied nature that contribute to spread the themes, problems and discussions in any area of the Humanities and Social Sciences. This section is permanently open, but if the article is considered publishable then will be listed among those that have been considered in the same way previously. The number in which the text will appear will be indicated in due time.Reviews
Review of some significant bibliographical novelty for the world of the Humanities and Social Sciences, whether national or foreign. Only book reviews that have been published with a maximum of two years prior to the submission of proposal.Colaboraciones
Políticas generales
Los trabajos enviados a Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social deberán ser investigaciones de alta calidad académica en materia de ciencias sociales y humanidades.
Para ser consideradas y sometidas a dictaminación, las contribuciones deberán ser originales y cumplir con todas las normas editoriales establecidas en esta publicación.
El envío o entrega de un trabajo a esta revista compromete a su autora o autor a no someterlo simultáneamente a la consideración de otras publicaciones. De hacerlo, esa falta de probidad académica impedirá que se admitan ése o cualquier otro artículo de la misma persona, incluso en los casos de autoría compartida.
El envío de cualquier colaboración a la revista implica la aceptación de lo establecido en estas normas editoriales y la autorización al Comité Editorial de Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social para que difunda su trabajo en la revista, en la página electrónica de la misma, en reimpresiones, en colecciones y en cualquier base de datos o sistema de indización impreso o electrónico que se decida para lograr una mayor y mejor difusión del mismo. En la versión electrónica, las contribuciones serán publicadas en formato PDF, ePub, XML SPS, XML Marcalyc, algunos MP3 y HTML compatible con marcaje especializado en la interpretación de Lectores de pantalla con voz (Screen Readers) convencionales como: NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA), Jaws for windows, a fin de que la revista pueda ser consultada en versiones de audio.
Esta revista está bajo una licencia Creative Commons México 2.5. Está permitida la reproducción y difusión de sus contenidos para fines educativos o de investigación, sin ánimo de lucro, siempre y cuando éstos no se mutilen y se cite la procedencia (Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social) y a la autora o autor.
Una vez que los originales han sido aceptados para que se publiquen y distribuyan en la versión electrónica de la revista, los derechos patrimoniales de los artículos publicados en Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social son cedidos por cada autora o autor a la UACM. Sin embargo, tal como lo establece la ley, cada autora o autor conserva sus derechos morales. En virtud de esto, quien ostenta la autoría recibirá un formato de cesión de derechos patrimoniales que firmará una vez que su original haya sido aceptado. En el caso de trabajos colectivos bastará la firma de una de las autoras o autores (“autor de correspondencia”), en el entendido de que ha obtenido el consentimiento del resto y lo representa.
Las y los autores podrán usar el material de su artículo en otros trabajos o libros, con la condición de citar a Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social como la fuente original de los textos.
Los artículos contenidos en esta publicación son responsabilidad de sus autoras o autores y no comprometen la posiciónoficial de Andamios. Revista de Investigación Social, ni la de la UACM.
Datos de la autora o autor
Siempre en un archivo aparte del texto y nunca dentro de éste, las contribuciones anexarán los datos completos de la persona que ostenta la autoría (su institución de adscripción, dirección postal, dirección electrónica y teléfono), y una breve reseña curricular (estudios profesionales, máximo grado académico, nombramiento en su institución de adscripción, líneas de investigación y principales publicaciones —en el caso de los libros se mencionará el título, el lugar de edición, la editorial y el año—). Cuando se trate de coautorías, se incluirán los datos de todas las personas que colaboran en el artículo, pero sólo una fungirá como “autor de correspondencia”.

The copyright of the articles published in Andamios, Revista de Investigación Social are transferred by the author(s) to Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México when the originals have been accepted, so that they are published and distributed both in the printed and electronic versions of the Journal. However, as established by law, the author(s) retains their moral rights. The author(s) will receive a form of assignment of copyright that they must to sign when their original has been accepted. In the case of collective articles, the signature of one of the authors will suffice, provided that the latter has obtained the consent of the others.
Authors may use the material of their article in other works or books published by themselves, with the condition of quoting Andamios as the original source of the texts.
The articles contained in this publication are the responsibility of their authors and do not compromise the official position of Andamios, Revista de Investigación Social of the Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México.
