Abstract

This article explores how women who are not mothers, due to diverse circumstances, express their emotions, share experiences, and create support networks through digital devices. To do so, digital ethnography is considered an appropriate method for gathering and analyzing different contemporary narratives. Through thematic analysis, the most significant emotions, such as shame, guilt, and relief, are identified. Thus, digital platforms are configured not only as spaces for dialogic expression but also as sites of symbolic resistance and collective reinterpretation. In this sense, the article proposes interpreting digitally mediated interactions as alternative ways of creating bonds and affections. The originality of this text lies in the articulation between digital culture, emotions, and support networks as a way to understand the political power of the intimate and the value of situated knowledge shared in sociodigital platforms.
