El realismo estructural moderado como implicación ontológica del viejo institucionalismo económico

Esta contribución propone respaldar la versión moderada del realismo estructural óntico a partir de una teoría explicativamente exitosa de la economía y la ciencia social. Para ello, se plantea la hipótesis de que una de las premisas centrales del estructuralismo científico se justifica con base en la vieja escuela institucionalista que, a diferencia de la interpretación neoclásica, tiene mayor poder explicativo al incluir el componente normativo de la realidad social y económica. Finalmente, se concluye que al menos dos implicaciones ontológicas de esta escuela económica corroboran dicha hipótesis: un emergentismo y una tesis estructural no eliminativista.
