About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Andamios, Revista de Investigación Social, with ISSN 1870-0063 is a four-monthly academic publication that seeks to contribute to research and teaching in Social Sciences and Humanities, based on the contributions of lecturers and researchers from different national institutions
Peer Review Process
1. The Editorial Board will send the author acknowledgment of receipt of his work within a period of no more than one month. And within a period of one year (which could be extended in extraordinary circumstances), the author will receive the final resolution.
2. An article published in Andamios will be submitted to a selection phase and blind peer review. In the first phase, the Editorial Committee will select the articles that correspond to the thematic areas treated in the Journal and will check over the essential academic requirements of a scientific article.
3. In case of being considered by the Editorial Committee, the contributions will be submitted to the opinion of two specialists in the corresponding subject. When the author belongs to the UACM, his work will necessarily be dictated by external referees to this institution. Otherwise, the reviewers may be internal or external to the UACM. If there is a contradiction between the two opinions, a third evaluation shall be considered as definitive. The judgment process will be kept secret and no information will be given regarding it.
4. Once the evaluations of the reviewers have been received, the authors will be informed of the opinion and will have a period of no more than three weeks to deliver the final version of the article with the relevant corrections. The Editorial Committee will verify the final version based on the opinions and will inform the authors in which number of the Journal will be published their work. Accepted collaborations will be submitted to style correction and their publication will be subject to the availability of space in each number. In cases where the number of collaborations decided favorably for the section Dossier exceeds the space allocated to it, the Editorial Committee reserves the right to determine which of them are more attainable with the guidelines established in the call. In both phases, the decision will be unappealable.
5. The sending of any collaboration to the Journal implies not only the acceptance of what is established in these editorial rules, but the authorization to the Andamios Editorial Committee for the inclusion of the work on its website, reprints, collections and in any other medium that is decided to achieve a greater and better diffusion. In the electronic version, contributions will be published in HTML, PDF, and XML formats with specifications for SPS, Marcalyc, and E-Pub.
