Del startupper de sí al “rey filósofo”: un análisis de la intersección entre neoliberalismo y estoicismo moderno

El presente artículo analiza la convergencia entre la etopolítica neoliberal y el discurso del moderno estoicismo empresarial. Partiendo de una concepción del neoliberalismo como “gubernamentalidad” —es decir, como una tecnología política que descansa sobre determinadas formas de subjetividad—, exploraremos el modo en que el revival estoico encaja con las pulsiones individualistas, competitivas y jerárquicas de nuestro tiempo que a la vez retroalimenta. De este modo tratamos de contribuir al desarrollo de una cartografía político-conceptual que atienda tanto a sus variantes expansivas y empresariales como a ese neoliberalismo reaccionario que pretende articular las fuerzas corrosivas del mercado y los valores tradicionales.
