El trabajo analiza un proyecto de desarrollo local llevado adelante por la Cooperativa La Comunitaria en General Pico, La Pampa, Argentina, que consiste en una planta láctea de producción de quesos para consumo de cercanía. El objetivo es indagar en torno a la sustentabilidad del proyecto, la cual incluye la construcción de capital social, su dimensión económica y capacidad de generar empleo. Además, busca poner en tensión cierto sentido común construido en torno a la precariedad de lo comunitario. Desde una mirada transdisciplinaria y abordaje cualitativo, esta investigación da cuenta de un emprendimiento de Economía Social y Solidaria que, a partir de una estrategia multidimensional en la construcción de poder local, estructurado en un perfil eminentemente comunitario, logró llevar adelante este proyecto de desarrollo local en el ámbito cooperativo-comunitario.
