Análisis estructural de los ut’aani como género discursivo presente entre los mayas lacandones de la comunidad de Naja´, Chiapas

Los ut’aani son discursos tradicionales que practican los mayas lacandones que habitan en las tres subcomunidades que comprenden el territorio lacandón: Metzabok y Naja’, al noroeste, y Lacanjá Chansayab, al sur. El objetivo de la práctica de los ut’aani es propiciar-crear una situación deseada a través de las fórmulas verbales que lo estructuran, así como de repeticiones –paralelismos– cuya función es sincronizar el pensamiento y la voz de quien lo entona con la finalidad de manipular la realidad y materializarla a voluntad personal. Los discursos analizados para los fines de este artículo fueron cuarenta y uno ut’aani, recopilados por un mismo hablante maya lacandón que reside en la subcomunidad de Naja’.
