Magia, participación y género: experiencias narrativas de lo sobrenatural

El presente artículo analiza la magia y lo sobrenatural desde una perspectiva folclórica, como fenómenos culturales construidos verbalmente. Se parte del concepto de participación de Lévy-Bruhl, que se interpreta como el involucramiento en la narración, sea como hablante o como oyente, que puede evocar experiencias extraordinarias. La leyenda pertenece a los géneros de encantamiento que penetran mundos materiales, sociales y psicológicos, y los vincula al mundo de los relatos. Se analiza aquí la narración de una experiencia personal acerca de un encuentro sobrenatural en Jharkhand, como una expresión del hinduismo vernáculo, interpretada en el marco de las prácticas genéricas de encantamiento.
