Politólogo. Profesor-investigador del Departamento de Estudios sobre Movimientos Sociales, Centro Universitario de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, Universidad de Guadalajara. Ganador del Concurso Estatal de Tesis de Maestría 2006 convocado por el Instituto Electoral y de Participación Ciudadana de Jalisco.
