“Muerte 2.0”: pensar e imaginar la muerte en la era digital

Este artículo trata sobre el significado de la muerte en la cultura digital actual. En concreto, pretende destacar cómo muchas de las ideas modernas sobre la muerte aún presentes hoy en día (privatización, invisibilización y desocialización de la muerte, o la progresiva simplificación de los ritos mortuorios) se ven cuestionadas con la llegada de la Web 2.0 y su énfasis en la visibilidad, conectividad y sociabilidad entre usuarios. El artículo concluye que estas y otras características de la denominada “Web social” conectan la muerte en la era digital actual con una concepción premoderna o primitiva de la misma.
