Etnografías de la convivialidad y superdiversidad: reflexiones metodológicas

Las migraciones internacionales son actualmente uno de los factores que más contribuye a la diversidad cultural. Sin embargo, al enfocarse los estudios migratorios en la integración, muestran limitaciones cuando explican la diversidad intercultural. Por ello han surgido nuevos paradigmas con una visión más holística, que incluyen los patrones de relaciones, interacciones y tipos de influencias entre los residentes inmigrantes y autóctonos. En este artículo incorporamos de forma conjunta la superdiversidad (Vertovec, 2007) y la convivialidad (Gilroy, 2004) para entender la creciente diversidad en dos ciudades del sur de Europa, Lisboa y Granada. Lo hacemos a través de etnografías multisituadas de lo cotidiano en espacios públicos, reflexionando sobre los puntos fuertes y las limitaciones de cada paradigma, intentando comprender cómo responden a la operacionalización en el trabajo de campo.
