Poder sin autoridad, marca de identidad del populismo

La cuestión de la autoridad constituye un problema político de primer orden en el contexto de los populismos contemporáneos, marcados por un poder que se autoriza a sí mismo mediante el discurso de la “soberanía popular”, representado por la figura del líder. En la primera parte de este artículo, se explora la cimiente del concepto de autoridad en clave arendtiana, tarea que permite discutir en la segunda parte, la interpretación que la teoría política moderna hizo de esta noción a través del concepto de soberanía. Finalmente, siguiendo a Pierre Rosanvallon, se describe la anatomía del populismo para visibilizar las prácticas mediante las que autoridad y poder se hipostasian en el líder populista, actualizando el principio de soberanía hobbesiano.Downloads
