La estructura discursiva de la defensa doctoral en dos corpus orales

La defensa de una tesis doctoral constituye un acto público de relevancia mayor en la vida académica. Cada sede universitaria y país tiene sus convenciones, sin embargo, en todas persiste la estructura de contrapunto propia de la disputatio medieval. Siendo la parte pública de la Defensa un texto oral, no siempre hay la oportunidad de analizar las posiciones argumentativas del candidato y de los miembros del jurado. Esta investigación compara dos corpus orales de defensas doctorales (transcripciones) en inglés y en español, de Estados Unidos y de España (corpus MiCaSe y Nebrija de Comunicación Académica CONCA). El análisis muestra cómo los elementos pragmáticos que caracterizan la situación comunicativa marcan el discurso de sus actores y el nivel de formalidad del discurso.
