La representación legislativa y la intermediación política en el contexto democrático

En este artículo se discute la relación entre la representación política y la intermediación política bajo el contexto de las democracias modernas. Se sostiene que la intermediación política es una forma de representación no democrática que fomenta el tratamiento de demandas locales y establece canales de comunicación particulares entre los grupos intermedidados. Asimismo, se exponen las tensiones que se generan en el proceso de representación legislativa, considerando la disciplina partidaria y la reelección consecutiva como variables que intervienen en el proceso y que cambian el comportamiento de los actores.Downloads
