This article presents the progress of a study of the discursive aspects of a political dispute surrounding extractivism in Argentina. It proposes the use of a concept of discursive representation consisting of two dimensions: one representational and the other discursive, each of which has components and a structure. The work also justifies the need to analyze such representations, taking into account the discursive networks in which they are produced and circulated. The theoretical approach, inscribed in Critical Discourse Studies, draws on contributions from decolonial political theories, social psychology (particularly the Moscovician school), and sociology that studies the role of emotions in social movements. The corpus analyzed consists of two Facebook posts made in 2021 by one of the most prominent socio-environmental organizations in the country, the No a la Mina collective from the province of Chubut.
