El avance del matrimonio igualitario en América Latina versus Europa: una reflexión comparada

El argumento central consiste en asegurar que el reconocimiento del matrimonio igualitario no se determina por la calidad democrática o el desarrollo económico de las naciones, ya que los cimientos ilustrados de los proyectos políticos, sociales y económicos se basan en la hetero y cisnormatividad como mandatos de verdad para habitar el espacio público. Realicé un análisis comparativo entre índices democráticos, económicos y de derechos humanos con el avance del matrimonio igualitario en América Latina y Europa. Concluyo que los indicadores favorables no alteran los marcos binarios de género ni los mandatos heterosexuales. El progreso de los derechos LGBT+ refleja nuevas lógicas, distintas a las de la modernidad, y surge como resistencia a la marginalidad producida por el sujeto cartesiano.
